Our Warranties

The extraordinary value of our warranties included with your purchase are such that they are virtually unheard of elsewhere in the jewelry industry.

 

They essentially work like this.  While many retailers offer little to no warranty on jewelry (and especially diamond loss), and others have tedious requirements for the customer to bring in the jewelry on a regular basis to be examined in order for the warranty to remain valid, we have a more common-sense approach to our warranties.

 

We believe you, the customer, are able to identify any problem that could pose a serious threat to your jewelry purchase.  Problems such as a broken ring shank, a broken or bent prong and thin or missing prong tips are very obvious to even an untrained eye.

 

Our warranties, therefore, allow you to decide when your jewelry needs to be examined or considered for repair by us.  While you are responsible for covering the cost of shipping both ways, we offer most standard repairs free of charge to you and other, less common, repairs or stone loss replacement at significantly reduced or wholesale cost prices respectively.

 

Specific warranty details follow as such:

 

 

Any item less than $100 comes with a conditional three month warranty*, for the original owner, against defects in manufacturing (including stone replacement in the event of a gemstone or diamond loss at wholesale cost to the original customer), free standard repair work on most breaks if/as needed and free ring sizing up to two sizes larger or down as much as needed when purchased.

 

Any item $100-$1000 comes with a conditional one year warranty*, for the original owner, against defects in manufacturing (including stone replacement in the event of a gemstone or diamond loss at wholesale cost to the original customer), free standard repair work on most breaks if/as needed, free soldering of wedding sets and free ring sizing up to two sizes larger or down as much as needed for the duration of the conditional one year warranty.

 

Any item purchased for $1000-$2500 comes with a conditional two year warranty*, for the original owner, against defects in manufacturing (including stone replacement in the event of a gemstone or diamond loss at wholesale cost to the original customer), free retipping of prongs as needed, free standard repair work on most breaks if/as needed, free soldering of wedding sets and free ring sizing up to two sizes larger or down as much as needed each year for the duration of the conditional two year warranty.

 

Most items purchased for $2500 or more come with a conditional lifetime warranty*, for the original owner, against defects in manufacturing (including stone replacement in the event of a gemstone or diamond loss at wholesale to the original customer), free retipping of prongs as needed, free standard repair work on most breaks if/as needed, free soldering of wedding sets and free ring sizing up to two sizes larger in the first year and as deemed needed* each year after that or down as often as deemed needed each year.  Other, less standard repairs, requiring either more material, more labor or both (such as reshanking a ring, rebuilding a prong below the girdle of a diamond, rebuilding a channel etc.) will be performed at a highly discounted price.

 

A very few items priced over $2500 only qualify for the conditional two year warranty*, for the original owner, because of a nature more susceptible to heavy wear.  These items include pavé-style rings, jewelry featuring "micro-set diamonds" (diamonds typically less than .01 ct in size), eternity-rings or rings that otherwise feature stones in a damage susceptible are such as low on the shoulders, bottom or inside of a ring, line-bracelets, tennis-bracelets and link bracelets.

*This list may be revised at our discretion in the future.

 

A very few select items may come so close to the $2500 threshold to qualify for our conditional lifetime warranty* that we may be able to still offer the conditional lifetime warranty* if you would prefer to pay for the difference.  Please contact us for specific item warranty qualification inquiries.

 

Also, insurance policies covering jewelry/diamond damage, theft and loss are available for purchase.

*In order for our conditional warranties to be honored and remain current and valid, the jewelry item must not have been damaged from abuse or rough wear/treatment.  The need and qualification for any repair work is solely determined by us.  If any flaw is detected by the customer which may result in exacerbated damage, please contact us immediately for consultation about sending us the piece to be repaired.  Failure to meet these conditions voids any warranty.  Also, any work or repairs performed by a jeweler other than ELIGIVS Jewelers voids the warranty.
